SERIES FORMAT

4x4 Action Adventure is a Cross Country expedition across Central Australia from the South at Port Augusta to the heart of the country in Birdsville then onto the Gulf of Carpentaria.

We follow in the tracks of the explorers through the spectacular Flinders Ranges, to Lake Eyre and into the desert before arriving at the remote town of Birdsville. Along the way the expedition encounters and overcomes the problems of 4x4 driving. There are four wheel driving tips and information for the off road traveller.

Half way through we detour to Broken Hill to look at the Outback 4x4 Challenge. This shows just what 4x4 vehicles and teams can achieve as they tackle a week long competition in the harshest terrain.
